Wind and Sun are used as driving parameter for the design strategy and form finding. A performative envelope aligns systems of structure, program and energy in a new Aesthetics of Sustainability. The dynamic choreography of the traditional Korean dance is transformed into a contemporary architectural sensibility. Beautiful flowing lines drawn in the air by overly long sleeves, which are forming spaces of performance - interwoven by public concourses. The traditional Opera House and the contemporary Multi Purpose Theater form a dialogue under one skin. The side walls of the auditorium and stage can be opend to expand the performance venue into foyer and landscape. The typology of the Theater radically challenges the limited nature of the proscenium stage in the tradition of Cedric Price´s “Fun Place”.
