SPL _ Sqashed Platonics

Investigation into Platonic solids as remainder of an originary, if often neglected source for contemporary architecture. If the fluid is a formal regime that mirrors fluctuating conditions (world, people, uses, etc.), is it possible to package these relationships in a form that expresses certainty without giving up the aura of mysteriousness? In plan, the project is a cross breed between a square and a circle (SQUIRCLE) It’s perforated metal façade makes it a super-scale object of industrial design more than architecture. In combination with the constructed qualities of the small scale surface patterns (structure and skin) the building realizes a ”gestalt effect”, which is both graphically powerful (like a logo) and infinitely sophisticated in its material life.
